Bethesda Softworks and Laced Records are bringing the carnage as FinishingMove’s original soundtrack for id Software’s DOOM: The Dark Ages lands on doubleCD.

The game’s original score was created by Finishing Move, composers comprised ofBrian Trifon, Brian Lee White, Jay Wiltzen, and Alex Klingle, who have delivered asoundtrack worthy of the Slayer’s legend. The music is a sonic reflection of thegame’s adrenaline-fuelled action, its unique Medieval setting, and the raw energy ofthe classic DOOM experience.

Elements of thrash metal, modern deathcore, early doom metal and Swedish blackmetal bleed into brutal guitar breakdowns and downtempo grooves, while traditionalfolk instruments such as the Nordic bass tagelharpa, balalaika and massive animalhide drums are combined with modern synths for a dark and gritty sound that feelsraw, primal and unmistakably DOOM.
